About the Designer
...about the designer
Kristie Burrill has a a long and diverse history in the fashion industry.  While still  in the U.W. fashion design program, she was hired as a patternmaker for Roffee ski wear  Before long, she climbed aboard as associate costume designer for the Seattle Opera to draft patterns, cut, fit and help produce the costumes for Seattle Opera's first Wagner Ring Cycle, as well as a few costumes for the Pacific Northwest Dance Comany's first "Nutcracker."   She graduated with a B.A. in fashions design and lived in Seattle for 39 years designing custom clothing for Seattle's elite and as a guest instructor, taught fashion design, flat pattern design, draping and garment construction at Seattle Central Community College and the U.W.
Her dream was to design a line of clothing featuring high-end fabrics, classic, timeless, designs that are comfortable to wear and easy to alter.  And she did!
Her crea.tions are in silk, linen, cotton, wool and men's featherweight multiseasonal wool. Her clothing is great for travel, as it is easy to coordinate and layer, requirung fewer pieces and it packs light and travels well. Many pieces are bias-cut so they flow, drape and are flattering to all who wear them.
